Transition lenses are lenses for glasses that have a fluctuating amount of tint depending on how light your surroundings are. While indoors, lenses remain tint-free and look like normal seeing eye glasses. When you walk outside on a sunny day, however, the lenses will darken to protect your eyes from harmful UV rays, acting like sunglasses.
