MP3 players are basically small computers. They have an operating system / firmware and software to decode MP3 files. The files are decoded by the software and then processed as a signal that is conducted to an output port and heafphones. They work the same as your computer.

The way MP3 players work is all an information process. The MP3 receives files downloaded from a computer. You will need a connecting wire that will fit your player properly.

MP3 players use a smaller file type to store and play music by compressing the information found on normal audio file types. To store music on them, simply plug a USB cord into them and place the other end into your computer. Select the songs you want to listen to, and select your mp3 player, drag and drop.
