This can be dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. So first I want to stress call an electrician if you are unsure of any of this. To wire a 220 volt, you need proper wiring. You also need to make sure the fault circuit breaker is grounded. Once you have this set you can attach it.

Both phase and neutral input and output has to be connected with those terminals on the circuit breaker as indicated on the breaker's body.
