There are a few things you can do, you can try hitting your panic button, you can try pulling the fuse out and replacing it, there might be a short. You can also pull the bulb out if none of these work and replace it. You may also want to check the theft wiring.

The best thing to do is to open up the dash and just completely remove the light out of the dash. It is easy but can take you some time. You can also pull the fuse for the theft system.

Insert the keys into the ignition, if that does not work stand outside the car and press the panic button that comes on your key fob

Well there isn't much else you can do. You need somebody who has the equipment to diagnose what the problem with the anti-theft system is and fix it.

If you are not going to tow it to Ford then I guess you don't want to drive it anymore. The wonderful people who believe that Quality is Job One designed the anti-theft to be a financial boon to Ford dealers. Ford is the only one that can fix it.

People have reported a flashing theft light and no starting because of a bad "PATS" transceiver but it may also just be the keys needing reprogrammed.
