According to me, if your subaru is making trouble and creating engine noise you have to show it to a very good mechanic in your city.

Basically by identifying the noise. A repetitive squeaky chirp is the accessory belt, a "tap-a-tap-a-tap-a" noise is the valve train, an unusually loud engine noise is a leaky exhaust, and a "pinging" or "clanging" noise is spark knock.

This is a fairly broad question becomes there are many different models of your type of car. I would either consult a mechanic personally, or refer to your user manual. In general if you're experiencing engine noises i would start by checking my fluids, and then seeing if the "hardstart" i working properly.

Subaru boxster 2.5 engines are noisy and this is normal. If the noise is at start up and goes away quickly there is nothing to worry about.

The easiest way is to look it up online. Do a search for it and see what people say about it. If this is of no help then pick up a repair manual. IT should have information about what could make similar sounds in your engine. If you would have described it I could have given you a little help.

Look under troubleshooting in the owners manual. It will give you a diagram to follow and everything. Or you can call the dealership and they can tell you.

you need to determine if the noise is internal or external. also, check other components mounted to the engine assembly.

Send that rice burner to the junkyard & buy an American car, they may be lower quality, but at least they're easy to troubleshoot.

If you are having engine trouble with your engine you could be having some lose bracket problems. If this is the case take it into a mechanic.
