How do I tell if I have worms within my skin?

Do you have itching sensation? Are you suffering from diarrhea? If answer is no, then you dont have worms within your skin. Please wash your hands with soap or dettol hand wash.

There aren't a lot of species of worms that you can pick up from just playing in the dirt. Most species of parasite transfer from host to host by physical contact. There are some diseases you can catch, but they generally don't show up on the skin first.
