Make teams of 3 evenly-matched players. Play on a halfcourt, which offers better spacing and less running (fast-breaks). Play to 21 points, with each basket counting as 1 point. When a team scores, they get the ball again at halfcourt and inbound it again to start the next possession.

all you have to do is get three players on one team and another three players on another team and you have yourself a good game of three players against the other three players, then you can play to 12 points of something with every basket counting as one point.

You need 6 players, 1 net and a ball. Each team of 3 players takes it in turn to attack and defend with the highest scoring team winning.

To run a 3-on-3 basketball game you would basically subtract two of the players from the 5. You would still have a head point guard for each team. A strong forward who can shot from the outside as well. Lastly a center is needed.

3 on 3 in basketball is better suited for half court games. whenever a team scores the other team has to take it to the top of the key and then start their posession. this also goes for when the defensive team grabs a rebound.

Gather six of your friends and go to a local gym or basketball court. Divide into two teams, and play a half court game up to 15 points.
