The best way to reset anything is to unplug the piece of hardware that is giving you trouble from the power source. Shortly after unplugging, plug it back in.

I'm assuming the player is frozen and not responding to your remote or manual pressing of the power button. In most cases unplugging/plugging will fix it.

The first thing to do it make sure there are no DVDs in the DVD player. Now turn off the DVD player. Unplug the player from the wall. No need to disconnect the audio/video cables from the TV. Wait at least 30 seconds and then plug it back in.

The first thing to try is unplugging the DVD player. Let the player sit for at least several minutes. There may also be a small button on the back.

Unfortunately, each model is made differently. Many of them will reset this way - turn it off for 30 seconds then power it on while holding the standby button. If that doesn't work, try removing power completely from the unit overnight and then doing the above or just let it start up. Check your manual or Toshiba website for options.

A hard reset is probably the best way. Unpluging the dvd players power cord from the main electrical socket for at least 30 minutes, then re-pluging it and turning it back on. If this doesnt work then unplug it again but for a longer period of time and retry plugin it back
