The spark plug along with the ignition type is going to depend on the year and model of the Saab. You will need to purchase a Haynes manual for install.

A deep well spark plug socket is going to be your friend! Its the best and only method I use, you are allowed more clearance, so just pop the wires off and socket it out.

This is a fairly difficult "repair" job, if you consider yourself a novice i would insist that you contact an automotive expert. The spark plugs i located just on the outside of your engine and is protected by a rubber guard. This can be removed by hand. You'll also need a spark plug of similar brand, swap them.

This is a fairly simple process. Open the assembly that houses the spark plugs and get a socket wrench made specifically for spark plugs, usually sold for about $3. 00. Pull out the old spak plug and replace it with the same model. The auto store should have both pieces.

Remove the red spark plug cover (4 Torx screws or 10 mm bolts). Lift the Direct Ignition system exposing the plugs. Using a 5/8" plug socket remove the spark plugs. Set the gap and do not over tighten the plugs. Replace the Direct Ignition system cover.

Before changing the spark plugs, ensure that car has opportunity to cool down. Torx screws that hold the direct ignition system should be removed. Now we easily replace it.

The process is similar to most other coil on plug systems. However Saab have on single unit on the valve cover. Remove the screws holing it in place and it can be removed and the plugs can be replaced.

Look under hood. Check right by the engine you'll see a open assembly that houses the spark plugs. You'll need socket wrench thats made for spark plugs. Pull out old spark plugs and replace them with new ones with the same model. Purchase all tools at a reasonable auto store.
