How do I remove a carpet tape?

I just moved into a new home and while removing the plastic from the carpet I noticed that there is also tape. I have no idea how to remove it.

First carefully remove the tape. Then scrape off the residue and use a rag soaked in solvent to get the remaining residue. Last wipe down with a wet rag.

The goal is to use a solvent that will cut through the tape goo but leave the finish of the wood intact. First scrape off the large chunks with a scraper. Then use a solvent like WD-40 to remove the tape goo.

You should be able to rip it right up with out damaging the carpet. Use a mild fabric softener and water solution if your worried.

Well to remove the carpet tape, remove it as you would a normal tape. If the tape doesn't come off or leaves sticky marks, then you should look for some alcohol substances and spray them on the tape. Then remove the tape according to this and you'll notice the marks won't be there either.

Most of your carpet tape will peel right off with a razor blade. Roll the tape into a ball and press and peel up the difficult spots.

You can either use a paint scraper or alchool. Also you could try rubbing ice onto it. Ut whatever you use, make sure you children aren't around, as these are hazardous materials for them.
