The easiest way to do this it to download and install them with the software that was supplied with your ipod. Otherwise you will need to find a third party programs to both convert it to the correct format and to put it on to your ipod. Look online for guide on what to do.

First, the movies have to be in the correct m4v, mp4, or mov format. Open iTunes and connect your iPod to the computer. Add the movie file to iTunes. Drag the movie file from your iTunes playlist to your iPod on the left-hand side. Remember, older iPods can't play movies.

Current anti-circumvention laws makes putting movies on your ipod illegal. So, if you own the movie (not the DVD but the copyrights as in a "home movie") you can use a ripper like PQDVD. You can upload videos from a video camera to your computer and go from there. You can download podcasts off the web.

You will have to put them on using itunes. The same way you put music on your ipod you can also use the site to put on your movies.

You can put movies on your ipod the same way you put music, but only certain ipods support videos. Older ones don't.
