Always make sure that you are giving them the right amount of nutrients and not to much. If you over do it with feed then you can make them grow too fast. When they grow like that their joints are not able to keep up and you end up damaging the joints with out meaning to.

Avoid over work. Have horse vet checked. Feed a joint supplement meant to support joint health. Allow for time for turn out in large pasture or field. Do NOT lunge or work tight circles, work for more than ten minute increments, or ride before physical exam and clearance from your vet.

If you feed your young horse joint supplement with their grain now it will help promote healthy joints. If your horse has healthy joints now it will lessen the chance of having creaky joints or arthritis in the future.

Go out and find yourself a good horse joint supplement to put in your horses grain everyday. You will notice your horse will move around more and will be happier.
