If you are not a resident of Mexico, you must have a visa and passport, as well as copies of your certified birth certificates. They will keep these for their records, so do not bring originals. You must also have completed a blood test and series of x-rays. There is generally a 2-3 day waiting period to recieve your license.

verify your passports are valid also you obtain the certified copies of birth certificates for you and your spouse to be. also notarize all of the paperwork at a mexican consulate. have the civil ceremony,which is required for the legal marriage in all parts of mexico performed at the registry office,religious ceremonies must be held separately,finally they must have proper identification.

To obtain a marriage license in Mexico first of all you have to go to the court and submit an application. Then you have to provide the relevant documents in support of your marriage including witnesses. Then you will get your license. Get your license soon as it is nowadays mandatory to have it.
