To pour a garage floor you need to pour a sealant or something on it to fill in the cracks. This solution will make it easier to finish the floor and it will be level

Begin by cleaning and etching the original garage floor surface. Concrete will not stick to concrete without proper preparation. The simplest product to use to pour a level garage floor is self-leveling concrete, which you can mix yourself. The end result can then be left plain, covered with epoxy, or covered with other flooring.

Ground that has previously been tilled or is loose needs to be machine compacted before you begin pouring the concret, once the ground is level and the concret is poured use a 2 x 4 to smoothe the surface.

you have to make sure that the ground is level and packed. one of the most critical things is that the foundation form is level. if that is level then you can use it for your reference.
