Fill the sink with hot water and put the jar and lid in the sink to make it hot. Pour hot jam in the jar. When it cools there will be a vacuum and that will seal the lid.

Place the lid on top of the jar and screw the band on tightly. Submerge in Hot water for a reasonable amount of time.

Ater you fill the jars and before you put the lid on, you should carefully place the jar in hot water to get the air out and then seal it.
