How do I introduce myself to my birth mom?

I just found mu birth mom but I don't know what to say when I meet her.

The first thing you should say is "thank you for giving me life". Then describe the good life you had with your adopted family, since many birth mothers wonder if their children hate them for giving them up for adoption. If you are interested in learning your roots or actually want to make a relationship, be up front about that.

Introducing yoruself to your birth mom can be a very tricky thing, try to be nice and considerate of her feelings and remember to take things slow.

The best thing to say would be what you feel is right at the time. If you feel that a hand shake is whats called for then go with that, if you feel a hug is good, then give her a big hug!

You need to realize that she might not be happy to see you. Do not be emotional, or place expectations upon her. It is best to be matter-of-fact about everything. Introduce yourself, and explain that you would like to get to know her, but make it clear that you are not there to threaten her or attack her.
