How do I install 50a range plug?

First prepare the wire ends so that you can connect the wires to the plug. There should be 4 wires: red, black, green and white. The green is the ground, the red and black are the hot and the white is the neutral. Make sure the prongs on the plug are oriented the correct way.

In a 50a plug the red wire should be connected in (L) black should be connected in (N)& green should be connected in (E)

Run 12-3 gauge Romex wire from the 50A breaker to the outlet. In the outlet, connect the 2 red (or black)wires to L1 and L2. Connect the white wire to W. Connect the plain copper wire to G.

Actually what happens in our home electric equipments are connected using the parallel connection method so we have to use the principle of parallel connection here according to which one end is connected to the phase supply and the other one to the ground parralerly and if you want to use the fuse then it is connected in series.
