The best way to handle a spouse who does not want to discipline the kids is to tackle the problem head on by addressing it with her directly. Plan a meeting with her at a nice restaurant. Tell her it's important to you, and explain why the kids require discipline, and what the fallout is if they get none.

If your wife does not want your kids disciplined you should sit down and have a serious talk with her about the consequences how the lack of discipline can harm them later in life. If she will not listen you should maybe look into family counseling lessons where you can work something out.

Family therapy is always good to handle situations like these. Family counselors can suggest ways of discipline that she may not be as opposed to.

You need to have a long talk with her to get to the bottom of it. Perhaps she was severely disciplined as a child and that's why she doesn't want the kids disciplined. This is very important; you must talk to her about it right away.
