There are various programs to assist you in paying back your student loans. Visit with your University financial aid counselor to get a start on information. Some programs relate to teaching in qualifying school districts, and other government service jobs.

Student loans can be deferred and by contacting the lender you can plead all sorts of hardship. The best help you can get for paying off student loans is a second job!

There's many repayment options out there-graduate repayment, income based, income sensitive or 25 year extended. It would be wise to find a schedule where you can pay everything off fast.

There is no real way to get assistance for paying your student loans back. One of the things that you can do is to get a forbearance if you can not afford your loans in which you will have to pay later on. Or you can get a lower payment by getting interest only.

If your student loans are government sponsered, you can consult your lender who offers a variety of payment plans ranging from a temporary suspension of payments to a complete write-off of the loan due to hardship. Most students find a period of forebearance allows them to get back on their feet and resume making payments.
