It is very easy to determine a battery pack's polarity. The polarity will be clearly inscribed or printed on the battery pack as "+" and "-".

In batteries, there is a symbol with a +sign on one side and a –sign on the other side with a circle in between, with an opening. If the opening is with plus sign, then the polarity is positive and if it is with minus sign, the polarity is negative. When you see no polarity sign, call manufacturer and confirm.

Most packs have polarity marking somewhere on the case. If yours doesn't, you can test it with an inexpensive multimeter from Harbor Freight. Set meter to Volts and hook the leads to your battery. If it reads positive, you're good; if negative, reverse the leads. Red is positive, black negative.
