On a white item, bleach mixed with a little detergent can be applied with a Q-Tip in a dabbing motion onto the stain. Be careful not to leave on too long. Test area by wiping with a wet cloth. When stain is completely gone or very pastel, soak item with detergent and diluted bleach. Launder as usual.

Mustard is really hard to get out. Since you got it on a white shirt though it could be easier. First try rinsing in hot water. Then put some bleach onto the area with the mustard stain. Make sure to cover the whole stain. Let it set for up to 5 minutes. Then wash as normal.

Since the stain is on a white shirt, you can use bleach to get it out. If washing it with regular detergent didn't get all of the stain, then use a cotton swab dipped in regular bleach and dab at the stain. Once you have treated the entire stain, wash the shirt as you usually would.

You should try to wash the shirt as soon as possible after you get the mustard stain. Rinse and scrape off any excess mustard from the shirt. Apply a spray stain remover such as oxy xlean and leave on for at least five minutes before washing out with liquid detergent.
