How do digital cameras get film-quality pictures?

A good digital camera can get a film-quality image. The camera needs a good sensor, which makes for less graininess or noise in your images and prevents blown highlights and blocked shadows. This naturally tends to cost a bit more than a standard digicam.

They use what are called mega pixels. The higher the mega pixels the more film- like quality the photo is. Mega pixels are tiny doys that make up an image.
