How can you stop a cat from licking?

My cat licks too much.

You can't it's to deeply ingrained in their grooming habits. If the cat is licking it's self to much you might be able to put some harmless herb or spice on it to deter it from licking, if the cat is licking it's self there is most likely a reason.

Licking of the cat means taking dirt from their bodies. Maybe your cat feels she is dirty, so try to take her into a warm bath that doesn't scare her so her licking will be lessen if she feels she is clean

If your cat is licking fur or your skin that is just part of the normal grooming process. If it seems abnormal take to vet just in case medical problem.

Cats lick themselves to groom themselves. Depending on the length of the hair and how dirty the cat is getting, it may need to do so more often. There is no too much, but you may have the cat checke out for a skin condition.
