How can you go about opening the closed mind?

Start by relating open minded philosophies with common things the closed minded interpretor enjoys and when they ask more information start exposing them to more and more until they begin to think open mindedly on their own. I have found this method to work with more than "opening the closed mind" it even works with religion.

Sometimes that is impossible unless the close minded person is proven to be wrong. Some people are closed minded on various topice from religion to eating meat. If the topic isn't too sensitive, prove the person wrong if possible, or have the person see how others feel.
