First of all, keep in mind that the only guaranteed way to not get ahead is to stop trying. You can try going to an employment agency to see if they can help. If you cant get a job in your field, take whatever you can find until thingspick up.

You will not find a job in this economy if you give up. There are jobs out there and you must continue to search until you find one. Use online tools and head hunters as well as personally getting out there and filling out applications and going to as many interviews as possible.

The most common source of a job is through social connections. About 90% of jobs are never posted on the Internet or newspaper; they are filled by a friend or someone who knows the hiring firm which then fills the job. Network. Tell your friends, family, former co-workers that you are looking. Go to job networking meetings.
