Many prescriptions have generic versions that do the same thing but cost much less. If you talk to you doctor they can change the prescription or even when refilling ask the pharmacist. The doctors occasionally have samples of some prescriptions that they could give you to help you save money.

If switching to generic brands of your current prescriptions are not enough, discuss with your doctor whether you can drop some of the medications. There are also need based programs with many drug companies to provide free medications to those in need.

If you have insurance, check to see if you can order the prescriptions throught the mail. If no insurance, check local grocery stores that offer $4 generic drugs. You can also contact drug companies directly for free meds if you are unable to pay.

Shopping around is good practice. Buying larger amounts (90 days over 30 days) can help as buying in bulk is cheaper. Consider asking your doctor to prescribe cheaper generics.

You can use generics as much as possible, also many pharmacies have prescriptions that are $4.00. Walmart is one of them, get a list from thier pharmacy take that to your doctor and see which meds will work for you.
