Rehabilitation or detox clinic is probably the best way, this would ensure you don't come into contact or get tempted with the opiates and would provide counseling. Alternately, Narcotics Anonymous can help, and you could also wean yourself off by lessening your "dose" each time you use.

First, go see your doctor. He or she can direct you to programs and/or qualified therapists who can guide you through the process of kicking the addiction. Frequently, a good option is to go to a residential treatment center where you will get both counseling and medical supervision - getting off of opiates can be very rough on your body.

Like any addiction, there are basically three ways to kick it. One, is cold turkey. Second, is going to meetings (Narcotics Anonymous would be a good one for you). The third, is simply going to a drug counsellor or psychologist who specializes in addiction services. Whichever of these three works.

An opiate addiction is impossible to escape without professional help. Medical detoxification is essential, as is ongoing treatment with a therapist. Opiates are very strongly addictive, so it is very difficult to quit, and essentially impossible to quit on your own. Attempting to quit without medical supervision could be dangerous, as well.

Like any addiction to anything, there are three steps you can take: go cold turkey (if you can), get treatment (i.e. rehab), or try and ween yourself off in slow steps.

Suboxone helps beat opiate addiction. When Suboxone is taken, the buprenorphine attaches to the receptors in the brain occupied by opiates. Because receptors are no longer empty, withdrawal symptoms diminish.

The best way is to see a docotor who specializes in a addiction because withdrawl can be painfull. It will involve gradually tapering your opiate requirement and often involves long acting opiates like Methadone.

Yes you can! I'm not going to sugar coat anything, it'll be one of the the hardest things you'll eveer have to do. I don't recomment doing it alone, chances are you give in and go back feeling worse about yourself than ever. Round up friends, family, check into rehab.
