Since you have to open your doors occasionally to get into your house you can never stop the invasion. The best you can do is put up traps like fly papaer near the doors to help control the situation.

Keep your trash out of the house, no matter what take it out everyday. Keep your can disinfected with clorox and then use bug spray. Spray all doors and windows to keep those guys out.

Screens provide the best defense again these flies, but if that isn't an option you can always hang fly traps and/or sticky tape traps to attract and catch them, and it's quite cheap.

Well if you want to keep the flies out of your house, always have your doors and windows closed. And spray ammonia around the entrance areas.

All we can really do is prevent it a little. Always use a screen door and never keep any door open very long. Also, tie a ziploc bag with a mix of water and sugar off some near the door but far enough to draw them away instead of attract.
