You have a variety of options for job hungting: local libraries conduct workshops for resume writing and job placement; universities have offices to help alumni get a job; using the internet to search for jobs is a great tool; and applying to jobs in-person will also increase your likelihood to get hired.

You may need to broaden your search area or search criteria. Also, look into other sources. There are many online sites where you can do job searches, as well as the newspaper ads. Also, try temp agencies and just visiting businesses door to door asking for openings and applications.

The job market has been slow, so it may not be that your job hunting skills need upgrading. However, some things that you can specifically do are to be sure that your resume is updated, network with as many people as possible, and volunteer in your field.

Make a good resume and get someone to help you with this. Look neat, clean on the interview. Talk well, answer questions, ask questions, talk about salary at the end.
