It helps to start planning individual activities from before starting preschool. As long as they understand that they will see each other again there should be less anxiety. A simple method is to give them mirrors to look at when they need to see their twin and are unable to.

It's something that they have to get over in time. Send your twins with a picture of each other so when they miss them they can look at it.

Keep them busy in sport's or Extra activity's. Create situation's that remove their mind from the problem at hand like fishing or sporting event's. Give them something to do like a project that will take their mind power to finish such as a model airplane.

Try to leave them with a babysitter now for short periods of time. The only way to learn to trust that mommy will come back (so that they don't get so upset at separation) is to give them opportunities to experience it first-hand. Also, make sure to tell them goodbye quickly, reinforce that you're coming back, and then just leave.

If you mean separation from each other then keep them in the same class for preschool only. If you mean separation from you, then do a sticker chart.

If the twins are going to the same school, then there should not be much separation anxiety from each other. If you are referring to anxiety from the parents, the kids could take something that belongs to the parent that gives them a source o relief when they are apart, like a shirt or hat.
