This tree needs full sun. Take inside if temperature goes below 55 degrees. The plant needs watering every 7-14 days. Re-pot only if you want larger tree.

Ponytail palm trees are easy to grow in a soil that is well drained and they must be protected from all danger of frost. Also you need to protect them from cats since they may chew the fronds. Their bulbous base holds water, making the plant very forgiving if you forget to water.

Place the seeds in a wet paper towell, when they start to germinate you can transfer them to a seeding tray. Feel it with soil and put heating mats under it. Keep the soil moist and don't place it in direct sunlight.

Plant when the sun has set to allow the roots to soak in water for a couple of hours before being exposed to sunlight.

A ponytail palm tree can be grown by enriched soil as well as water. Use the same methods you use for growing plants. The same standards apply. Watch the growth patterns.
