You must find out what currency they are before exchanging them. Secondly, you must convert the coins to the bills of that currency, since coins are not accepted at currency exchange booths. Last but not least, seach online or in person for the exchange rate of the day to trade.

The best way to determine the value of foreign coins is to google currency rates. This will lead you to websites where one can compare the currencies of the two countries since currency is always changing. Or, you could take your money to a bank and they should be able to exchange the money for you at the going rate.

All you got to do to determine the value of foreign coins is really simple. One option is going to your local coin dealership and asking the dealer the value of your coins. Anoher option is probably the easiest and the fastest, just get on the internet and type in what kind of coins you have.

If you're uncertain of the value (but remember which country the currency came from), you'll be able to go online and do a search for a Currency Converter (or Currency Conversion). If you cannot identify which country the coin is from, do an Image Search for "coins" in every country you visited. Example: "French Coins"

You would need to go to a bank and ask them if they would do a trade in to see how much it turns out to be exactly. But online conversion websites are normally pretty accurate.

If the coins are current (being used in the country today) you can look online for the currency exchange rates. These rates will enable you to convert the foreign currency into dollars, so you have a better idea of what they are worth. There are services in the US that will buy your foreign currency in exchange for dollars.

The best way to assess the value of foreign coins, is to go online and consult with numismatic experts who specialize in foreign currency. It's important to keep in mind, that foreign coins, that are not in circulation today, have a substantially greater value, especially if they're gold.

The best way to do that is to take it to the bank. They will have people there who will know more about it than anyone else.

There is probably a web page that has information about the value of those coins. But I think you should go to the bank and exchange them.

The best way to determine the value would be to pick up a coin grading book from your local book store as the values change per coin.

First you would look it up on google. Type in "5 pounds in USD" (if you wanted to convert pounds to US Dollars). The first result will be the conversion amount. However, using coins in America will probably not be accepted if you attempt to purchase anything with them. They must be converted to dollars before they can be used.
