Lying is an addiction. Like any other addiction the person has to want to change their behavior. Since this is a parent great tact will be required. However, you must attempt to resolve the problem. Talk to him openly about why this bothers you and ask him to consider how this is damaging your relationship with him.

Sometimes you just have to set up some boundaries. Explain as gently as possible that because of his lies, he has lost some privileges in your life.

Talk to him and tell him that he's getting out of control. If that doesn't work maybe it's best to not talk to him at all if possible. You don't need the stress.

If he is also addicted, such as to alcohol or drugs, then get help for the addiction. If it is bad, contact social services about the addiction. If he is simply a liar with the intent of manipulating you, do not be manipulated by the lies - then he will stop doing what does not work.

Liars anonymous could be a start for recovery with you father. There are also many books that you could read up on the issue. Don't confront him on the issue until you know the facts on handling the situation.
