Auditioning with material that isn't previously produced is a bad idea. Choose your favorite play and select a monologue form your favorite character. Don't choose a "famous" monologue (like "To be or not to be"). You don't want to be compared to the famous originator.

Get yourself a flip camera or use your computer and a webcam to develop a monologue, be spontaneous and record your monologue then watch it, see what bothers you about how you appear on camera, ticks, language faux pas etc. then be aware of them as you record yourself again and again till you feel fully natural in your persona.

Look for a piece of material that has a lot of emotion in it, and a big range of emotion. Casting directors want to see a variety from you.

Look through books of plays to find a soliloquy that matches your talents and goals. After you memorize it, work with a friend or coach to refine it.
