The best way for a current United States citizen to bring an immigrant from another country into the United States of America is for the current American citizen to get married to the immigrant. That way, the immigrant can easily secure his or her green card / visa and come to the United States.

The easiest way to do this is by marriage. With a lawyer this tends to take up to a year depending on the country. It would also require the other party in most cases to do an interview and give reasons for why they are leaving the country. This is usually the easiest way to get someone in legally.

If an immigrant is an immediate relative to a united states citizen such as a spouse, child or even sister or brother that person can be brought into the united states by the filing on an I130 petition, which is used to file for immediate relatives of united states citizens.

It depends on the type of visa. Is this going to be a spouse visa, a fiancee visa or bringing parents/siblings to US? Uscis. gov has more information.

The only way to do this is by the immigrant being granted political asylum or by the actual citizen making the immigrant their significant other through marriage. When a a U. S. ctizen has a child outside of the states and want to raise them here can be another option.
