The best places are churches, especially ones with singles ministries. If you aren't religious, then CrossFit gyms are the next best place. You should also try contra dance events.

There are many good places including the usual bars especially if they have events like karaoke and quiz games that help people to meet. You may want to try attending sporting events or going to a sporting goods store. You could also try joining a softball league or a book club.

If you live in a larger city, alot of them offer singles events such as speed dating or ice-breaker parties. Other than that, bars, sporting events, sometimes even at work.

Depends on where you live and what kind of men you want to meet. Work functions are good, mixers and such if your industry has them. Gallery openings and exhibits are also good. Some people swear by the grocery store and laundry mat.
