They are just out of the two hour feeding at that age, I would say depending on the child maybe every four or six hours. It depends on how much they eat at each meal. However if your child is acting like he is hunger I would feed them. Infants know when they need food.

In our house, bottom first thing, then solids for breakfast, then bottle for a snack, then solids for lunch, bottle for a snack, solids for dinner, bottle before bed.

An 8-month-old schedule could be: offering breast-feeding or a bottle upon rising, breakfast 1/5-2hrs later, then a nap. You can offer lunch upon rising, but the child may prefer the milk first, a snack and milk in afternoon and finally dinner with a bottle before bed.

I would say as long as they are on a bottle feed them when they are hungry. But come lunch time and dinner try giving them some first foods or baby cereal. So they can get accustomed to spoon feeding for when the bottle is taken away. You can always try feeding them on a schedule.

He should be getting a mixture of cereal, a serving of vegetables, a serving of fruits, and milk. The easiest way is to mix his cereal/oatmeal with fruits in the morning, and again with veggies at night, and offer milk throughout the day.

a good feeding schedule would be once in the morning, then maybe twice in the afternoon, once for dinner an then snack around six or seven and again before bed.

All babies are different and have different needs at different times. You want them to take the same amount of formula and add in fruits and veggies. In the morning add cereal in the afternoon a fruit and vegetable in the evening. If teething you may try teether buiscuts too.
