Eczema is a disqualifier in all branches of the U.S. military. The disease is unpredictable and difficult to control. Individuals who develop eczema after they are in the service, are subject to restrictions and duty limits.

No. Eczema is notoriously unpredictable, especially endogenous hand eczema and atopic dermatitis. These conditions are disqualifiers. Service people who develop eczema while in the military are restricted as to the duties they can be assigned.

Waivers are not granted across the board for a particular problem. Each request includes consideration of the seriousness of the problem, letters from professionals and more.

Eczema is used to describe many skin conditions. If the condition does not interfere with performance, make you more vulnerable or endanger anyone a waiver may be granted if necessary.

Yes. When I was on active duty in 1972 I developed psoriasis (similar to excema) and was granted a waiver.

Is it yes or no?? Just because someone has it doesn`t mean that they aren’t qualified for a job. Yeah sure it may complicat things but that shouldn`t be a reason or a factor that determines what that persom can and can not do with his or her life!!!
