No. The trustor can change or add trustees as he or she chooses. Often, in a revocable trust, the trustor, trustee, and beneficiary are all the same person (or persons), at least for the lifetime of the trustor. A revocable trust is mainly created to avoid probate, and not subject to the rules of other sorts of trusts.

It does not dissolve the trust. However, it can create a significant conflict of interest in which you can challenge the appointment.

A beneficiary serving as a cotrustee to a revocable trust does not dissolve the trust so long as he is not the sole trustee, unless the trust instrument says otherwise.

This would differ under state law, but the only way to dissolve a revocable trust is to revoke the trust, or for the corpus of the trust to be eliminated.
