Does PS3 play blue ray DVDs?

I don't want to go out and buy a blue ray DVD player, since I already have a PS3.

Yes, the Sony play station 3 does play blue ray DVDs. It also plays standard DVDs. All you have to do is open up the disc tray and put the disc in. You can use your controller to navigate the menus as though it were a remote.

Playstation 3's play blue-ray DVDs already. That is one of the great things about having one. You don't have to get a separate player.

Yes, the Playstation 3 can play Blu-Ray DVD's. It can play them without any additional hardware unlike the XBox 360, which you had to buy an external HD DVD player for.

Yes, your PlayStation3 should play blu-ray movies. No attachment is needed in order to do this. Realize that the blu-ray that came on the PS3's is an early generation, so it won't have all of the bells and whistles that some of the newer players have. But the picture will be full hi-def 1080.

Yes, all generations of the Playstation 3 can play Blu-Ray discs. There is no further hardware or software that you need, just insert a Blu-Ray disc into the machine.

Yes, ps3 do have the capabilities to play any normal or Bluray dvd you put in to it. So if you have a one you do not need to waste money on a stand alone player. To get the full effect of the high resolution format you need a full HD capable tv and a hdmi cable.

Yes it does. The sony play station 3 is more than equipped to play the blue rays. It can play all sorts of things and it can also be used to access the internet. XBOX 360 is also equally good and it has high definition quality to play any video.
