Though originally experimented with by its developer for field crops such as corn, the venue of choice for Milorganite is for lawn care. Corn requires a mixture of nitrogen, phosphate and potash in certain ratios. I have seen Pelletized Peruvian Seabird Guano spoken well of as a high nitrogen, organic fertilizer.

Milorganite makes things grow bigger but it may not be safe to use milorganite as a corn fertilizer. Milorganite has a high metal content and could contaminate your corn. Check with other farmers in your area to find out what they would recommend using. It is best to be safe and use a good non-harmful fertilizer.
