Does fish breeding grass work?

It absolutly does work, if you can get real grass it works better. With the breeding grass in your tank the fish will feel more secure and therefore they will breed more often, its not really magic they just like being hidden from preditors. Make sure you clump it to one side of the tank so they feel hidden.

While fish breeding grass has the potential to work, there are other less expensive routes to take. Floating plants are also a good idea to include in your breeding endeavor, because while grass offers security at the bottom, a floating plant protects them while they eat food at the surface.

Fish breeding grass placed in the top of aquarium provides a hiding space for babies if mother has them before she's placed in a breeder box. The fry will automatically rise to top of aquarium and find their hiding spaces.

The breeding grass for tropical fish does provide a great hiding place for baby fish and does work fine for that.

Fish breeding grass gives the mating fish a place to be safe and avoid predators. It definitely improves breeding results.
