Cepacol is more of a mouthwash than for pain. If you have a sore throat, try using chloraseptic. Chloraseptic comes in spray or in cough drop form, and it numbs your throat. The spray works really well, and when you can't take a bottle of spray with you, you can use the cough drops.

In my opinion, Cepacol works the best! I take it the minute my throat feels sore and it soothes my throat before it gets any worse. I would suggest the lozenges because not only do they soothe the throat, but they numb the pain away. I would suggest the menthol or citrus flavor.

Yes it works pretty good. It completely numbs your entire throat and area that the medicine has touched. It causes some weirdness when swallowing but it beats having a really bad sore throat.

I tried it once, it works but not very effective. I took hot red charcoal and put in a glass of water, i drank the water and that worked better for me.
