Toy breeds typically not a good choice for children unless you invest lots of time making sure that the children always handle and treat the dog with care. Small dogs easily get under-foot and end up injured with fast moving kids. Consider a pug, French bulldog, or German Pinchser.

This would not be the best dog breed to get with small children. A teacup rat terrier has a height of 6-9 inches from the shoulder and only weighs 3 pounds. They are easily injured and dainty. In terms of grooming brushing daily is essential to keep up the coat.

A teacup rat terrier might be too small to do well with small children. Very small dogs, like teacup breeds, may be frightened or injured by the fast, uncoordinated actions of small children. A more sturdy dog might be better until the children are older.

Yes this highly intelligent breed works well with children, other dogs and even cats. They love and seek human interaction.

This breed is better with small children than other small breeds, due to their adaptive and loving nature. They are not known to be nippy or barky and are quite fond of being handled Really, get references and ask current tiny tot/teacup owners prior to adoption.
