Does a pastor need to tithe?

I know my pastor does not tithe and I don't think he should expect others to tithe if he does not.

All members of a church are expected to tithe according to the Bible. The Bible does not say "except pastors. " It is a commandment from God to all people. It applies to the saved and unsaved.

There is no hard and fast rule that a pastor must tithe. It does seem that he would feel a duty to tithe if he expects his parishioners to.

You can not make a statement without facts, everyone is ask to give, even "pastors', especially "pastors". These people are not beyond giving, and you are just as important as a pastor or elder or bishop. The eye in the body is just as important as the hand.  add a comment
