Does a Northstar engine use more oil?

the only time a motor uses more oil than others is when the motor is much bigger. Also, a motor needs to be checked when it is using oil. the problem could be a oil leak.

Yes it does. They are known for the amount of oil they use. The north star cadillac is known for its large size and 90 v engine architecture. In general, you will notice that it is going to use more fuel and oil, so be prepared to spend your money.

The Cadillac Northstar engine should not need more oil that any other engine of a similar displacement. However if not properly maintained it can burn oil over time.
