No, a fuel system cleaner, if applied correctly, does not creat smoke. A fuel system cleaner may combine with other impurities such as moisture, that become combustible when combines with a fuel sytem cleaner, and create white smoke.

The white smoke is not from the cleaner. You have to look and see if you have a cracked head or blown head gasket. If the smoke smells sweet, you blew a head gasket and you'll have to replace it. If you try to drive it with the white smoke for to long, you'll blow the engine.

Fuel system cleaner should not cause you engine to smoke. White smoke would usually indicate that he car is burning coolant. Especially if it has a sweet smell to it.

I, too, had an oil change and they put fuel injector cleaner into my tank. The white smoke started coming out very badly, then it died down. I still see a little. The smoke was NOT coming out of my car prior to the fuel injector cleaner

it may cause white smoke after running it for a while if it does not stop you might wanna have it looked into, it should not last long

Yes. Fuel system cleaners can cause white smoke. This is an improvement from blue smoke, which means that oil is burning. The cleaner probably got the oil out of a place in the engine where it was burning.

it should only smoke for about fifteen mins. usualy white smoke is common in the winter months this is on any vehicle and its not actually smoke its steam from the heated exhaust gasses. but if u are sure it is smoke then it should go away with ur next gas fill up.if not u have a biggar issue

The only thing that would cause white smoke would be if your engine was burning oil or some other substance. It usually will have nothing to do with a fuel system cleaner unless its dumped in the throttle body.

white smoke in diesel engine - bad timing, contamination or moisture in diesel - OR Additive added to to small amount of fuel in tank.

I just had my fuel filter changed and then had a fuel injector and gas treatment put in and know i also got white smoke.. WHat could it be from and how long will it last????
