If the prior agent did not have anything to do with the home, they have no obligation to receive anything and all commissions go to the new agent who arranged the sale. Real estate agent commissions are based on who helps sell the home, not their time and effort if the sale fails.

You probably will owe commission to the listing agent; the terms of the listing contract you signed and your state agency laws will dictate if they are owed a commission.

You should look at your contract. It will have a specific amount of time that you cannot sell the house without owing a commission. Usually 180 days.
