Do XP programs work on Vista?

Some do, but some do not. With every new operating system, there are changes and hiccups when it's new. Vista is no exception. Some things still do not work in Vista that did in XP, but many of them now do. Contact your software provider.

Most Windows XP programs run on Vista easily without any encountering any problems. Others can be run by using the Windows XP compatibility mode available in the properties window for each application. But there are some other XP applications that will not work on Vista even after using this including Max Payne and RPG Maker.
