Do they normally do call centre interviews face-to-face?

What would be the purpose?

They need to verify you are the person you say you are. Your manager wants to get a feel for what type of employee you will be. Also, if you are hired, you will need to fill out certain paperwork for the human resource department. Of course, you will have to bring identification, too.

Yes, they want to see if you present yourself in a professional manner. Also they do a face-to-face inteview to assess your customer service skills and the way you assert yourself.
